Louis-Rémy Robert (1810–1882) was a French photographer and painter who became one of the pioneering figures in early photography in France. He served as the director of the porcelain painting studio at the Manufacture de Sèvres, where he also experimented extensively with photographic processes, particularly calotype and later albumen printing. His work bridged the worlds of fine art and the emerging medium of photography, and he was among the early practitioners to exhibit photographs in official French salon contexts.
