Ivan Puni, also known as Jean Pougny, was a Russian avant-garde artist and sculptor who was instrumental in developing Suprematism and Constructivism in the early 20th century. Born in 1894, he worked across multiple mediums including painting, sculpture, and design before emigrating to France in the 1920s, where he continued his innovative artistic practice until his death in 1956.
