Translunaire - D659
1974
A vibrant color etching and aquatint by Joan Miró, featuring his signature biomorphic figures and surrealist vocabulary: a fantastical creature rendered in black line work against a textured grey ground, animated by bold sweeps of green, red, blue, yellow, and orange. The composition showcases Miró's characteristic interplay of gestural marks, celestial symbols, and pure color shapes floating in open space. Hand-signed and numbered 38/50 in pencil in the lower margin, this impression was printed by Morsang, Paris, with full margins intact. A strong example from Miró's mature printmaking practice of the 1970s.
