Yvaral, born Jean-Pierre Vasarely, was a French artist and the son of renowned Op Art pioneer Victor Vasarely, whose influence is evident throughout his work. Working under the name Yvaral, he became a significant figure in his own right within the Op Art and kinetic art movements, creating geometric abstractions that explore optical illusions, movement, and visual perception. He was a co-founder of the GRAV (Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel) collective in 1960, which sought to democratize art through participatory and experimental approaches to visual phenomena.
