Terry Frost

Sir Terry Frost (1915–2003) was a leading British abstract artist associated with the St Ives School in Cornwall, known for his vibrant, lyrical abstractions inspired by the movement of boats, light, and the natural landscape. His work is characterized by bold, gestural forms and a rich use of colour, often combining semi-circular and organic shapes in compositions that evoke rhythm and energy. Frost was a significant figure in post-war British art, receiving a knighthood in 1998 in recognition of his contribution to painting.
