Richard Karlovich Zommer

Richard Karlovich Zommer (1866, 1939) was a Russian-German orientalist painter renowned for his vivid depictions of Central Asian life, architecture, and landscapes, particularly scenes from Turkestan and the Caucasus. He studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and became celebrated for his atmospheric portrayals of bazaars, mosques, and the daily life of Muslim peoples.
