Jan van Huysum (1682, 1749) was a Dutch Golden Age painter renowned for his exquisitely detailed and luminous floral still lifes, widely regarded as the greatest flower painter of his era. His works are celebrated for their vibrant colors, intricate botanical accuracy, and the illusionistic use of light and shadow, often incorporating insects, birds' nests, and dew drops.
