Francesca DiMattio is a New York-based painter known for her visually complex, layered canvases that combine references to art history, decorative arts, ceramics, and domestic objects. Her work merges disparate visual traditions—from Chinese porcelain and Rococo ornamentation to modernist painting—creating densely patterned, maximalist compositions that challenge hierarchies between fine art and craft. DiMattio has exhibited widely in galleries and institutions internationally and is represented by Pippy Houldsworth Gallery in London and Salon 94 in New York.
