Dame Elisabeth Frink (1930–1993) was one of Britain's most celebrated sculptors, known for her powerful figurative works depicting men, horses, birds, and other animals rendered in a rugged, expressive style. Her bronzes convey a sense of raw physicality and psychological tension, often exploring themes of vulnerability, brutality, and the human condition. A major figure in post-war British art, she was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1982 and her works are held in collections worldwide.
