Dame Barbara Hepworth

Dame Barbara Hepworth (1903–1975) was one of the most significant British sculptors of the twentieth century, celebrated for her pioneering work in abstract and modernist sculpture. Her practice was defined by a profound engagement with organic forms, landscape, and the relationship between mass and void, often creating works in stone, wood, and bronze that explore the human figure and natural world in abstracted terms.
