Bernard Meadows (1915–2005) was a British sculptor who studied under Henry Moore and became one of the most significant figures in post-war British sculpture. His work is characterised by biomorphic and figurative forms, often exploring themes of vulnerability, threat, and the human condition through abstracted animal and human imagery. He is particularly noted for his crab sculptures, which combine organic forms with a sense of latent aggression and existential tension.
