Zhang Dali (born 1963) is a Beijing-based Chinese contemporary artist best known for his provocative street art and conceptual works that explore themes of urbanization, identity, and social transformation in China. He gained international recognition in the 1990s for his 'AK-47' project, in which he spray-painted his distinctive bald-headed profile silhouette across hundreds of demolition sites in Beijing, creating a dialogue between the individual and rapid urban change. His practice spans photography, installation, and painting, and he is considered a pioneering figure in Chinese contemporary art and street art.
