Tunga created baroque sculptures, installations, and performances using materials like magnets, copper wire, and hair. His theatrical work True Rouge (1997-1998) and magnet-based sculptures explored alchemy, sexuality, and transformation. He represented Brazil at the Venice Biennale and his work is held by Inhotim, Guggenheim, and Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo.
