Tania Bruguera

Bruguera creates participatory performances and installations that address political oppression, migration, and human rights. She coined the term 'Arte Útil' (useful art) to describe socially engaged practice. She has exhibited at Tate Modern, MoMA, and represented Cuba at the Venice Biennale.
