Shezad Dawood

Shezad Dawood is a British artist working across film, painting, textile, and installation, whose practice draws on diverse cultural and philosophical systems to explore themes of migration, ecology, and the collision of histories. His work weaves together references from science fiction, Sufism, modernism, and post-colonial narratives to create layered, often immersive environments. Dawood is a prominent figure in contemporary British art and is a founding member of the Karkhana collective, with exhibitions at major international institutions including Tate and the Venice Biennale.
