Robyn Denny (1930–2014) was a pioneering British abstract painter widely regarded as one of the leading figures of the Hard-Edge abstraction movement in the United Kingdom. His large-scale, architecturally conceived canvases, often featuring symmetrical compositions of bold geometric forms and subtle color fields, were designed to engage the viewer in an immersive, contemplative relationship with the work. Denny was a central figure in the development of British modernism, exhibiting internationally and representing Britain at the Venice Biennale in 1966.
