René Seyssaud was a French Provençal painter recognized as a precursor of Fauvism. Known for his vibrant, expressive use of color and bold brushwork, he drew deeply from the landscapes and rural life of Provence. His work bridged Post-Impressionism and the emerging Fauvist movement of the early 20th century.
