Loló Soldevilla (1901–1971) was a pioneering Cuban abstract artist and cultural promoter who played a central role in introducing geometric abstraction and Concrete art to Cuba in the 1950s. After studying and living in Paris, where she engaged with the European avant-garde, she returned to Havana and co-founded the influential Galería Color-Luz in 1953, a vital hub for abstract and experimental art on the island. Her own paintings are characterized by precise geometric forms, vibrant color relationships, and a rigorous Constructivist sensibility.
