Liza Lou

Liza Lou creates beaded sculptures and installations, including her monumental 'Kitchen' (1991-1996), entirely covered in glass beads. She has worked collaboratively with Zulu beadworkers in South Africa since 2005, creating large-scale installations that blur distinctions between craft and fine art. Her work is in collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, and the V&A.
