Jorge Macchi

Jorge Macchi is an Argentine conceptual artist born in 1963 in Buenos Aires, whose practice spans installation, drawing, video, and music. His work frequently draws on chance, fragmentation, and the poetic possibilities hidden within everyday objects and language, often using newspapers, maps, and found materials to construct layered narratives. Macchi has gained international recognition through major exhibitions including the Venice Biennale and São Paulo Biennial, and is considered one of the most significant voices in contemporary Latin American art.
