John Armleder

John Armleder creates paintings, sculptures, and installations that appropriate and recombine styles from art history, particularly abstraction and appropriation art. His "Furniture Sculptures" combine abstract paintings with functional objects. He founded the Fluxus-influenced Groupe Ecart and his work is held by major international museums.
