Torres-García developed Constructive Universalism, a visual language combining geometric abstraction with pre-Columbian symbols and pictographs. His 1943 inverted map "América Invertida" challenged Eurocentric perspectives. He founded art schools and influenced generations of Latin American artists, with work held in MoMA, Tate, and Museo Torres García.
