Gustave Cariot (1872–1950) was a French Post-Impressionist painter celebrated for his luminous depictions of Parisian streets, gardens, and suburban landscapes. A student of Gustave Moreau at the École des Beaux-Arts, he developed a delicate, light-filled style characterized by soft brushwork and vibrant color harmonies. His works, particularly his scenes of Montmartre and the Seine valley, have appeared regularly at major auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Drouot.
