Abdulnasser Gharem is a Saudi Arabian conceptual artist and Lieutenant Colonel in the Saudi Army whose work critically engages with themes of authority, religion, bureaucracy, and the tension between tradition and modernity in the Arab world. Known for his large-scale stamp paintings created using official rubber stamps, as well as immersive installations and video works, he draws on his experiences navigating institutional power and cultural identity. He is considered one of the most important contemporary artists from the Middle East and holds the record for the highest auction price achieved by a living Saudi artist.
