Falling Facade
1991
A fragment of architectural ornament appears suspended in a state of perpetual collapse, frozen between presence and erasure. Parker transforms a piece of crumbling facade into a meditation on destruction and preservation, inviting the viewer to contemplate the precarious nature of built history and the poetry found in decay.
