206 Suns
A monumental chromogenic print, *206 Suns* showcases Mariah Robertson's experimental approach to analog photography, in which she manipulates light, chemistry, and chance to produce explosive bursts of radiant color across long rolls of photographic paper. Vivid solar forms seem to blaze and dissolve against shifting fields of deep blacks and saturated hues, evoking both cosmic energy and the raw physicality of the darkroom process. The work defies conventional photographic imagery, transforming chemical reactions into a visceral, almost painterly spectacle.
