Sybil Andrews (1898, 1992) was a British-Canadian artist best known for her bold and dynamic linocut prints created during the 1920s and 1930s, often in collaboration with Cyril Power as part of the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London. Her prints are celebrated for their vibrant depictions of modern life, sports, and industrial labor, employing a distinctive style influenced by Vorticism and Art Deco with strong diagonal lines and vivid color contrasts. Andrews emigrated to Canada in 1947, where she continued to work and became recognized as a significant figure in the history of printmaking on both sides of the Atlantic.
