Richard Deacon

Creates abstract sculptures using laminated wood, metal, and plastic that explore construction and fabrication processes. Associated with the New British Sculpture movement, his work features curved, biomorphic forms. He won the Turner Prize in 1987 and represented Britain at the Venice Biennale.
