Raphael von Ambros

Raphael von Ambros (1855, 1895) was an Austrian painter known for his Symbolist and Orientalist compositions, often depicting sensuous female figures in dreamlike or exotic settings. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts and was associated with the fin-de-siècle aesthetic movement prevalent in Central Europe.
