Lita Cabellut

Lita Cabellut (born 1961) is a Spanish contemporary painter known for her large-scale, emotionally intense figurative works that draw on Old Master techniques combined with a distinctly modern sensibility. Her paintings, often featuring fragmented or weathered surfaces reminiscent of ancient frescoes, explore themes of human vulnerability, identity, and the passage of time. Born in Barcelona and having spent much of her career in the Netherlands, she has gained international recognition for her powerful portrayals of iconic and anonymous figures alike.
