Jeff Wall

Wall creates large-scale backlit cibachrome photographs displayed in light boxes, often staging elaborate tableaux that reference art history and cinema. His meticulously constructed images blur the lines between documentary and fiction, and his theoretical writings have been influential. His work is held at MoMA, Tate Modern, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
