Helen Lundeberg was a painter who moved from Post-Surrealism to hard-edged geometric abstractions in the 1960s, creating refined Color Field works. She was a pioneering woman in California modernism and co-founded the Post-Surrealist movement. Her work is held in LACMA, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and major California collections.
