Fernell Franco (1942–2006) was a Colombian photographer whose work documented the social margins and urban landscapes of Cali, Colombia, with a raw, gritty aesthetic rooted in documentary and street photography traditions. His series such as 'Prostitutas' and 'Billares' captured the lives of marginalized communities, sex workers, and working-class spaces with intimate empathy and striking black-and-white compositions. Rediscovered late in his life and posthumously celebrated, Franco is now regarded as one of Latin America's most important photographers of the 20th century.
