Dwinell Grant

Dwinell Grant (1912, 1981) was an American abstract artist and filmmaker known for his pioneering work in non-objective painting and experimental abstract film during the mid-20th century. He was associated with the American Abstract Artists group and created some of the earliest abstract films in the United States during the 1940s. His paintings reflect a rigorous geometric abstraction influenced by Bauhaus principles and Constructivism.
