Dirk Braeckman is a Belgian photographer born in 1958 in Eeklo, Belgium, known for his enigmatic, large-format black-and-white photographs that explore themes of memory, absence, and psychological tension. His darkroom-manipulated images often feature dimly lit interiors, figures, and surfaces rendered with a distinctive grainy, atmospheric quality that blurs the line between documentation and dreamlike abstraction.
