Aboudia

Aboudia (Abdoulaye Diarrassouba) is an Ivorian painter born in 1983 whose raw, expressive works blend street art, graffiti, and figurative painting to document the trauma and resilience of urban life in Abidjan, particularly in the aftermath of the 2010-2011 Ivorian political crisis. His canvases are densely layered with childlike figures, text, and chaotic energy that draw on the aesthetic of outsider art and the visual culture of West African streets. He has gained significant international recognition, exhibiting with major galleries and auction houses worldwide.
