Aaron Edwin Penley

Aaron Edwin Penley (1807, 1870) was a British watercolourist and art teacher renowned for his luminous landscape and architectural paintings. He served as drawing master to the royal family and was a prominent member of the New Society of Painters in Water Colours. Penley also authored influential instructional texts on watercolour technique that were widely used throughout the Victorian era.
