Osvaldo Salas

Osvaldo Salas (1914, 1992) was a Cuban-American photographer renowned for his intimate and iconic portraits of Fidel Castro and other key figures of the Cuban Revolution, as well as his earlier work photographing major American celebrities and boxing legends. Working across both the United States and Cuba, Salas developed a documentary style that blended journalistic rigor with a humanizing warmth, capturing defining moments of 20th-century political and cultural history.
