Serge Attukwei Clottey is a Ghanaian contemporary artist known for his distinctive use of recycled yellow Kufuor gallons—plastic jerry cans historically used to transport water in Ghana—which he cuts, wires together, and paints to create large-scale installations, sculptures, and wearable art. His practice engages deeply with themes of memory, migration, postcolonialism, and the socio-political history of West Africa, often reflecting on his homeland's relationship with oil, water, and consumerism. Clottey is also the founder of the performance and visual art collective GoLokal, and his work has been exhibited internationally at major institutions and art fairs.
