Ron Arad is an Israeli-British industrial designer, artist, and architect renowned for his experimental approach to furniture and sculpture, often blurring the boundaries between functional design and fine art. He founded the studio One Off in London in 1981, gaining early recognition for his iconic Rover Chair made from salvaged car seats, and later established Ron Arad Associates. His work is celebrated for its inventive use of materials such as steel, aluminum, and polyurethane, and is held in major museum collections worldwide including MoMA and the Victoria & Albert Museum.
