A Pyramid
1928
This signed screenprint , produced as a limited edition, was contributed by Sol LeWitt to the group portfolio For Joseph Beuys . The geometric fine art print features a pyramid-like structure composed of tapering triangles arranged in a semicircular formation, where strict geometry stands in deliberate contrast to the surrounding empty space, creating a sense of volume, depth, and a contemplative spatial presence. Published as a posthumous tribute to Joseph Beuys in 1987 , the portfolio brought together 30 artists, positioning LeWitt’s cool, systematic approach to abstract artworks as a conceptual counterpoint to Beuys’ mythic and socially charged legacy.
