A meticulously constructed collage by Rashaad Newsome, *Status Symbols #32* layers imagery to interrogate the intersections of power, luxury, and identity. Newsome assembles fragments of visual culture to expose the coded language of wealth and social hierarchy, challenging the systems through which value and worth are assigned. The work is presented in a gilded frame crafted by the artist, transforming the boundary between artwork and ornament into a deliberate statement about spectacle and aspiration.
