A raw and visceral composition, Ackermann layers linseed oil, oil, oil stick, and turpentine over printed paper, allowing the materials to bleed, dissolve, and transform the existing imagery beneath. The interplay between the printed surface and her gestural marks creates a tension between the found and the made, the legible and the obscured. The work embodies Ackermann's signature exploration of fragmented identity and material vulnerability.
