Yang Shaobin (born 1963) is a Chinese contemporary artist known for his raw, expressionistic paintings that explore themes of violence, power, and the human condition. His work often depicts distorted figures in states of conflict or anguish, rendered in visceral, gestural brushwork that reflects the psychological tensions of modern Chinese society. Considered one of the significant figures of Chinese contemporary art, he emerged from the Cynical Realism movement of the 1990s and has been exhibited internationally at major institutions and auction houses.
