Walter Dexel

Walter Dexel (1890, 1973) was a German painter, graphic designer, and art theorist associated with Constructivism and the broader New Objectivity movement. He was a prominent figure in the Bauhaus circle, known for his bold geometric compositions, typographic work, and pioneering contributions to advertising art and design theory. Dexel also worked as an art historian and curator, writing influential texts on form and design history.
