Stanhope Alexander Forbes

Stanhope Alexander Forbes (1849-1947) was a British painter and founder of the Newlyn School, a movement of artists working in Cornwall during the late 19th century. He is known for his naturalistic depictions of rural life and fishing communities, often painted en plein air.
