Serge Mendjisky

Serge Mendjisky (1929–2017) was a French painter of Russian-Jewish heritage, celebrated for his vibrant, expressionist depictions of Parisian street scenes, markets, and everyday urban life. A student of Fernand Léger, he developed a distinctive colorful style that captured the energy and humanity of city life, particularly the flea markets and neighborhoods of Paris. His work has been exhibited internationally and appeared regularly at major auction houses, reflecting sustained collector interest throughout his career.
