Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar

Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar is an Iranian-French painter and sculptor born in 1963 in Tehran, whose work is deeply influenced by his dual cultural heritage, philosophical inquiry, and the human condition. His paintings often employ thick, textured impasto techniques combined with raw, gestural mark-making, drawing on themes of suffering, spirituality, memory, and cross-cultural identity.
