Sarah Meyohas

Sarah Meyohas is an American artist and pioneer of crypto art who works at the intersection of technology, finance, and performance. She is best known for creating one of the first pieces of crypto art with 'Cloud of Petals' (2017), a large-scale performance in which 100 factory workers stripped rose petals as data was mined in real time, and for launching 'Bitchcoin' in 2015, a cryptocurrency backed by photographs. Her practice critically examines systems of value, labor, and the digital economy through immersive installations, performance, and new media.
