Peter Ilsted

Peter Ilsted was a Danish printmaker and painter known for his intimate depictions of domestic interior scenes. He was a master of the mezzotint technique, creating richly detailed prints that captured the quiet beauty of everyday life. Ilsted was the brother-in-law of fellow Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi, with whom he shared a similar aesthetic sensibility.
